This gives the recruitment team all of the information that they need to be able to give you a call to chat about the role. Invitation for Interview
The application form gives the recruitment team all of the information that they need to be able to look at the job criteria. If your application meets the job criteria, you will be contacted to arrange a day and time for you to come in for an interview. This gives us the opportunity to ask you further questions about your skills, experience and to get a feel of how you would present yourself to other people. The interview process also allows you to give you an opportunity to ask us any questions that you might have. The interview will last between 45-60 minutes.
Training and selection week
Anyone who is successful at the interview will be congratulated and will be invited to attend our 3 day induction training at our Training Academy at Grampound Road . During these 3 days you will be trained and assessed on all of the aspects of the support worker role at Taylors of Grampound. This means that everyone who graduates at the end of the 3 days will be trained and ready to go out and meet their service users as soon as we receive references and enhanced CRB checks. Many of our support workers provide references before they attend the induction training. This means that once they pass training we are able to send them straight out to shadow one of our experienced support workers until their Area Manager signs them off as being competent.
Dress code is smart but casual for the first day and your uniform will be issued during your first day of training. The expectation is that you where your uniform for the remainder of your induction training and any development training. We ask that you wear sensible shoes for the induction training especially for the moving and handling training day.
