By investing in people through their training, Taylors of Grampound ensure the full potential of their staff is harnessed. This enables staff to focus their energies on the needs of our service users while fulfilling their need for personal development and job satisfaction.
Taylors of Grampound recognise that such development is a continuing process for every employee at every level of the organisation. Training is seen as a necessary investment in order to provide the excellent services that Taylors of Grampound demands.
Every new employee receives a full induction programme to furnish them with the necessary skills to provide quality care to our services users. After attending a three day training course, new employees will undertake a period of shadowing with an experienced member of staff. An employee will not be allowed to undertake the role of a Support Worker alone unless they have suitable character references, checked against the Protection of Vulnerable Adults list, a Criminal Records Bureau check has been completed and they are assessed as fully competent.
Once a staff member has completed they’re probationary period (usually 3 months), the member of staff will be given the opportunity to complete their Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care as well as other development opportunities.
